Tim HoweTim HoweBorn in a country where awesome beauty abounds, Tim Howe was surrounded by the vastness and overwhelming majesty of New Zealand’s landscape. This was the place where he was first inspired to express nature’s limitless splendor through his art. Upon graduating from the Wellington School of Design, in New Zealand, Howe immigrated to the United States and established his design studio in San Diego, CA. He began traveling throughout Europe, where he settled for two years, capturing nature’s beauty through every season with his landscapes. The atmosphere of the Mediterranean proved to be the perfect backdrop for Howe’s painterly style. Though strongly influenced by the Impressionist painters, Howe devoted himself to developing and perfecting his own contemporary style. He became so enamored with the region that he established a studio in Barcelona, Spain. By incorporating dramatic use of color and texturing, Howe captures his subject matter with a unique contemporary flair. His landscapes seem to exist outside the frame - they literally stretch beyond the canvas. With vivid accents and lively vigorous brushstrokes, Howe continues his search for new images of familiar subjects. Artwork
